The OEM cylinders will all eventually fail, accelerated by heat and impurities or water in the hydraulic fluid - Top Hydraulics replaces the chemically decaying seals with far superior material. You send in your cylinders, and we turn them around quickly.

The full set consists of two main drive cylinders (mounted in the soft top frame), two bow tension cylinders (also mounted in the soft top frame), one tonneau cover lift cylinder, and two locking or latch cylinders (locking down the rear window and the storage cover).

Note: retract the polished shaft on the cylinder before removing the hydraulic line clips. Otherwise, an accidentally slipping tool may scratch or dent the polished shaft so deeply that we need to replace the shaft at a surcharge.

If your cylinder has a white ring of corrosion at the top of the shaft where it meets the clevis then it likely has some rust damage.
The corrosion and rust damage is most often caused by water intrusion due to a failed weather seal on the vehicle.
If your cylinder has a rust-damaged shaft we can replace it, but there is an additional charge of $100 for a replacement shaft.
See the photo below for an example:

Please note: Our rebuild/upgrade service does not include service or replacement of the travel sensor(s).  If you do need a replacement sensor, we sell OEM sensors for $50 each.
