There are two options for placing your order:

1. (Most affordable) You send in your leaking cylinder, and Top Hydraulics rebuilds it.

  • Top Hydraulics replaces & upgrades ALL seals in your cylinder with our superior proprietary material including rod seals, gland seals, port seals, plug seals and piston seals. Top Hydraulics' u-cup seals have a far more reliable seal and much longer service life.

OR

2. (Fastest) Core Exchange Option where Top Hydraulics ships parts from our inventory first ($230 plus a $150 deposit).

  • Option 2 means that you get a rebuilt & upgraded cylinder from Top Hydraulics' inventory first, then you ship back your original part for credit of your $150 core refund. You get a cylinder that has been rebuilt to outlast and outperform OEM replacements.

2006-2009 Pontiac G6 Folding Top Frame Lock Cylinder

P/N: 10364458

Also called by GM "Cylinder assembly, Roof Retractable Panel Storage Cover"

There are two of these small cylinders mounted in the main hinge. Before removing the hydraulic lines, please retract the cylinder shaft. This pushes more fluid back into the pump, plus it prevents accidentally slipping tools from damaging the polished shaft. To remove the cylinder shaft from the top frame's ball joint, you need to pull up the retaining spring by inserting a flat screwdriver into the back side of the female ball joint part.

Model years 2006 through 2009 have seven cylinders that actuate the retracting hard top and its latches. The biodegradable seals inside make eventual failure of all rams almost certain, but on a different time scale: The main pivot brackets are typically the first ones to fail, followed by the Panel Cylinders for Stowage Compartment, then the Front Lock Cylinder and finally the two cylinders way back in the trunk lid. The decay rate is generally a function of temperature.  We offer a package deal for all seven cylinders to be rebuilt for $1200, as well.

You remove your hydraulic cylinder(s) you would like to have rebuilt, and send it (them) to us. The polished cylinder shaft must be undamaged for a proper rebuild.
