Special option for core exchange: case cover lock & Cylinder assembly
This is a special core exchange option only: We ship cylinder and lock pre-assembled for simple swap into your vehicle from model year 2001, from chassis number 070018. Latch p/n 2087500984 with cylinder p/n 1298000072. You don't have to worry about damaging the cylinder shaft as you remove the cylinder from the latch. $95 + $120 refundable core deposit for the assembly. We highly recommend to upgrade at least rear bow lock and case cover lock at the same time, if you don't want to tackle the full set of cylinders in your vehicle yet.
If you have a model year 2001 CLK, then please check the VIN number. VIN numbers with the last six numbers lower than 070018 are equipped with the earlier version case cover latch p/n 1247500684, which is also available from Top Hydraulics.
Not sure whether you have a W208 or a W209?
The W208, model years '98-'03, has four separate, round headlights, and the front of the soft top needs to be latched by hand.
