You send in the cylinder you need to get rebuilt, and we typically turn it around in a day. The core exchange option is slightly more expensive, plus there is a refundable core charge. There will be a $100 surcharge on the rebuild service if the polished cylinder shaft is mechanically damaged or rusty.

Important: pitted or rusted cylinders must have their shafts replaced in order to function proplerly. There is an additional $100 charge per shaft replacement.

The W208, model years '98-'03, has four separate, round headlights, and the front of the soft top needs to be latched by hand.
For Rebuilding Your Cylinders: We gladly accept the cylinders in their locks / latches at no extra charge -- you save the extra labor and we have all the assurance that the cylinders do not accidentally get scratched upon removal from the locks.
Seals used by Top Hydraulics, Inc. include Viton™ and Teflon™-hybrid seals, as well as enhanced Polyurethane material, which far exceed the OEM's requirements for rigidity, but provide at least double the service life for your convertible car top actuators, based on scientific test data.
