The core exchange option is $900 for the parts plus $600 deposit plus shipping. Core exchange means that you get rebuilt parts from Top Hydraulics' inventory first, and then you send back your original parts for a refund of your core deposit of $600. For a full core refund, cylinders must be in good condition except for leaking seals.

The E46 chassis has six cylinders, consisting of two main lift cylinders, two bow tension cylinders, and two case cover cylinders. Hydraulic lines on some cylinders do not have quick disconnects and must remain attached (tonneau cover cylinders and right bow tension cylinder).

Replace one crimped-on Hydraulic Line # 31, 32, 33, or 34 on Bow Tension Cylinders for 2000-2003 BMW E46 convertibles.
Early model years (cut-off somewhere in 2003) have bow tension cylinders aka clamping bar cylinders with hydraulic lines that cannot be removed from the cylinder. Send in your left side cylinder, and Top Hydraulics will replace the line with OEM material.

You send in your malfunctioning E63/E64 6-Series hydraulic pump unit, and Top Hydraulics rebuilds it. The rebuild includes electric motor replacement or rewinding if necessary, service of hydraulic and solenoid valves, service of moving parts and replacement as necessary, upgrade of internal seals in the pump to eliminate current or future pressure loss or internal bypass, and extensive testing to ensure the pump exceeds factory specs.
