Core exchange means that you get rebuilt parts from Top Hydraulics' inventory first, and then you send back your original parts for a refund of your core deposit of $250. Core exchange option also includes a non-refundable $50 inventory management fee. For a full core refund, cylinders must be in good condition except for leaking seals.
Additional costs may apply if the pump has been abused by fire, extended water exposure, or high mechanical impact (such as hammering or poor packaging). Please wrap the pump in absorbent material and put plastic bags around it, buffer your parcel well inside, ideally double-box, and tape up well. Top Hydraulics ships back in a FedEx 2-Day parcel for $15 within the US or internationally for $130 to most countries.
The most common failure symptom on used BMW F12 hydro units is a gradual loss of pressure and power. Beware when purchasing used pumps that those may actually be units that are still pumping, but are not able to complete the convertible top's opening or closing cycle. Contact us with questions.
