Production Technician & Assembly Specialist
We are seeking full-time Production Technician & Assembly Specialists to be part of our production team for long term employment in a steadily growing family business. If you enjoy taking things apart and making them work again, then this may be the job for you. We take repairing things up a notch and make used parts better than new ones from the original manufacturer. You will work independently in a dynamic production environment, handling orders from start to finish, yet you will be a member of a supportive team. You work at your own station with tools dedicated for your use only.
Working hours M-F 8-4:30, opportunity for overtime (but not required).
Starting pay $19.50 per hour. Benefits after 6 months include paid time off, monthly health care bonus. We also offer 3 paid holidays per year, opportunities for paid overtime, and generous bonuses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Rebuild and manufacture car parts for high end vehicles, using hand tools and some machinery
- Work in a fast-paced production environment with focus on quality
- Operate machinery (we will train you) with focus on safety
- Evaluate parts for the job at hand, utilize good hand-to-eye coordination, mechanical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail to prepare the product
- Assure quality control and prepare product for shipment
- Other duties as assigned
Skills Required:
- Excellent hand-to-eye coordination and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues independently.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
- Efficient time management to meet production deadlines.
- Safety awareness with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Effective communication, including the ability to ask questions and seek clarification when needed.
- Physical stamina, comfortable standing for extended periods (8 hours) and lifting heavy components.
- Team member, happy to support others.
- Reliable and responsible.
Physical Requirements of this position:
- Handling of parts weighing up to 15lbs, overhead lifting, and repetitive movements
- Standing up for long periods.
- Very good close vision (corrected with glasses is acceptable).
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years work experience with a minimum 2 years in one position.
- Experience in a production environment preferred but not necessary.
- No experience with hydraulics required – we will teach you.
- Ultimately, all our team members can learn how to rebuild and manufacture any of our wide array of products – it’s a team environment and it will never be boring if you challenge yourself. How fast you progress depends on your aptitude, attitude and attention to detail.
