There are two options for placing your order:
1. (Most affordable) You send in your leaking cylinders, and Top Hydraulics rebuilds them.
- Top Hydraulics replaces & upgrades the seals in your cylinders with our superior proprietary material. Top Hydraulics' u-cup seals have a far more reliable seal and much longer service life. You get back cylinders that have been rebuilt to outlast and outperform OEM replacements.

2. (Fastest) Core Exchange Option where Top Hydraulics ships parts from our inventory first ($1000 plus a $600 deposit).
- Option 2 means that you get a set of rebuilt & upgraded cylinders from Top Hydraulics' inventory first, then you ship back your original set for credit of your $600 core refund. You get a full set that has been rebuilt to outlast and outperform OEM replacements.

Full Set of Top Cylinders - W208 CLK-Class

You send in your set of cylinders to get rebuilt first. The core exchange option is slightly more expensive, plus there is a refundable core charge. In the event of mechanical damage (does not happen during normal operation) or rust (if there was prolonged water intrusion from the top) on the chromed cylinder shafts, there will be a $100 per cylinder surcharge on the upgrade service because Top Hydraulics will have to replace the shaft with a custom made stainless steel shaft.
We are happy to receive the latch cylinders mounted inside their locks, and will re-assemble at no additional charge. With the up-front shipping option, we typically ship the two latch cylinders inside their locks already.
Important: pitted or rusted cylinders must have their shafts replaced in order to function properly. There is an additional $100 charge per shaft replacement
Not sure whether you have a W208 or a W209?
The W208, model years '98-'03, has four separate, round headlights, and the front of the soft top needs to be latched by hand.
For Rebuilding Your Cylinders: Send your parts to Top Hydraulics first and we will rebuild and upgrade them to better-than-new condition.
Seals used by Top Hydraulics, Inc. include Viton™ and Teflon™-hybrid seals, as well as enhanced Polyurethane material, which far exceed the OEM's requirements for rigidity, but provide at least double the service life for your convertible car top actuators, based on scientific test data.
