Full set of vario roof cylinders consists of eight hydraulic cylinders excluding the roll bar related cylinders.
There are two options for placing your order:
1. (Most affordable) You send in your leaking cylinders, and Top Hydraulics rebuilds them.
- Top Hydraulics replaces & upgrades ALL seals in your cylinders with our superior proprietary material including rod seals, gland seals, port seals, plug seals and piston seals. Top Hydraulics' u-cup seals have a far more reliable seal and much longer service life.
2. (Fastest) Core Exchange Option where Top Hydraulics ships parts from our inventory first ($1225 plus $800 deposit).

Option 2 means that you get a set of rebuilt & upgraded parts from Top Hydraulics' inventory first, then you ship back your original set for credit of your $800 core refund. You get a full set that has been rebuilt to outlast and outperform OEM replacements.

Mercedes offered the “Remote Trunk” option in model years 2006-2012. It is not to be confused with the soft close or load assist function in all R230 trunk lids or the trunk lid popping up when it is released, but it is an option that closes the trunk lid from the fully open position from the key fob.
For Rebuilding Your Cylinders: Send your parts to Top Hydraulics first and we will rebuild and upgrade them to better-than-new condition.Seals used by Top Hydraulics, Inc. include Viton™ and Teflon™-hybrid seals, as well as enhanced Polyurethane material, which far exceed the OEM's requirements for rigidity, but provide at least double the service life for your convertible car top actuators, based on scientific test data.
If you order the set of eight top related cylinders from our inventory first and you return the load assist cylinders unused and clean, then we will add $100 to the core refund.
It is highly advisable to deal with all eleven cylinders together, as all of them will fail eventually. A separate package deal is available for the full set of vario roof cylinders plus the three rollbar-related cylinders (i.e., pawl lock cylinders and roll bar lift cylinder).
