There are two options for placing your order:
1. (Most affordable) You send in your leaking cylinder, and Top Hydraulics rebuilds it.
- Top Hydraulics replaces & upgrades ALL seals in your cylinder with our superior proprietary material including rod seals, gland seals, port seals, plug seals and piston seals. Top Hydraulics' u-cup seals have a far more reliable seal and much longer service life.
OR
2. (Fastest) Core Exchange Option where Top Hydraulics ships the part from our inventory first ($85 plus a $100 deposit).
- Option 2 means that you get a rebuilt & upgraded cylinder from Top Hydraulics' inventory first, then you ship back your original part for credit of your $100 core refund. You get a cylinder that has been rebuilt to outlast and outperform OEM replacements.

Case Cover Lock Cylinder - W208 CLK-Class 1998-2003
This cylinder latches the Tonneau/Case Cover. It typically fails or leaks at the same time as the Rear Bow Lock Actuator/Cylinder. Top Hydraulics recommends upgrading at least these two cylinders at the same time.
Not sure whether you have a W208 or a W209?
The W208, model years '98-'03, has four separate, round headlights, and the front of the soft top needs to be latched by hand.
For Rebuilding Your Cylinders: We gladly accept the cylinders in their locks / latches at no extra charge -- you save the extra labor and we have all the assurance that the cylinders do not accidentally get scratched upon removal from the locks.
Seals used by Top Hydraulics, Inc. include Viton™ and Teflon™-hybrid seals, as well as enhanced Polyurethane material, which far exceed the OEM's requirements for rigidity, but provide at least double the service life for your convertible car top actuators, based on scientific test data.
